With the development of road traffic construction, the speed of road traffic load is getting faster and faster, and the wear and tear of roads is increasing. Especially for cement concrete pavement, under natural conditions and increased loads, cracks, misaligned slabs and broken slabs can easily appear, thus leading to a decline in the level of road service.
Old cement concrete pavements are repaired and re-covered to solve road problems. The common method is "white and black", which means that the old cement concrete pavement is directly covered with hot-mix asphalt mixture. Although this can improve the load-bearing capacity of the road, the consequent reflection cracking problem is more serious. In some projects, the use of rubberized asphalt concrete instead of HMA can reduce cracks to a certain extent, but with the increase of road traffic time, the effect is not satisfactory. In order to completely prevent and control the problem of reflection cracks, many domestic scholars have also carried out corresponding research: the existing PCC panel was dismantled into pieces and HMA was added to eliminate the problem of reflection cracks in the HMA overlay; the rutting damage and interlayer shear damage of HMA/PCC pavement structure were studied. The results show that the smaller the thickness of asphalt layer, the smaller the flexural and tensile modulus of RAP concrete, the larger the modulus of asphalt concrete, the better the interlayer bond state, and the smaller the rutting deformation of HMA/PCC road structure
A large number of studies have shown that resonant crushing technology can effectively solve the problem of reflection cracking. The crushing technology can be divided into multi-hammer crushing method and resonance crushing method.MHB can effectively solve the reflection cracking problem, but the damage to the road base is larger.RPB is suitable for the cement pavement with poor plate performance. The inherent vibration generated by the equipment resonates with the cement slab, which breaks the old concrete slab into stronger granular layers and effectively prevents reflection cracks.
